Jimi Petulla: Educating Aspiring Artists
I am an aspiring recording artist and I want to be the biggest star one day. Right after high school, I immediately enrolled in a music school hoping to enhance my skills and talent. I must say I really learned a lot from my professors and it really made me even more confident about my capabilities as an artist. However, what I experienced is far from what I have imagined. I know that making it in this type of industry is beyond difficult, but I never thought that it would be like this. When I stepped out of college, I thought my education can set me apart from the rest. However, it seemed like it didn’t matter at all. I spent countless of months trying to get noticed but nothing grand really happened. While I was browsing the internet, I came across a site that features Jimi Petulla and his insights about the recording industry. He said that it is indeed a difficult industry to penetrate and in order to make it big, a person needs more than just education, skills and perseverance. Most of all, an artist needs connections to the industry. Jimi Petulla said that having connections to the industry is of utmost importance and can help artists be noticed and hopefully aid them in reaching the top. That was when I realized that maybe—just maybe—it is the only thing that’s missing. As soon as I finished reading the article, I immediately started to look for ways on how to find the connections I need hoping that it will help me reach the top.
