the satire of art
The art work it self is fab. a few pieces are a bit dark and i would go into photoshop and apply “highlight/shadows”. there is an issue with clicking on the links. you have to “know” to scroll down. otherwise, a new visitor to your site will simply think that the gallery part is “unfinished” and won’t see your work. To fix this problem, the code behind the website needs a new anchor point for each gallery. right now when you click on links, it goes to the “top”.
You and I got into quite a name calling episode some time back. Do you really want to start that again? Pledge allegiance to your Royal Crown and worship your artists. That is all good. If you think the PTP and the group of seven is so good, buy their crap. I think their work is Canadian copycat, or manipulated graphic art at it best. You really do not want a name calling contest I assure you. But if you do keep on a calling. Do any of you Canadians have any Comics Assortment and original ideas?
And kettle thing isnt it. You do realize that the original group from your part of the country had commercial art roots all the way back to Paris. This is noting more than Canadian Design and style art is crap, in my way of looking at it. Documentation is only as good as the documented.
I am convinced that process is wrong. It is less and less fine art and more and more commercial art, graphic art, kind of like the Canadian Kinkade kind of art. As is that of the Group of Seven out of Canada. Slick, cutesy, marketable, crap, my take on it. If you like it that is fine, this is how he eats. Buy a copy or two, his freezer has room for more moose steaks.
