Why I love Illustration

Hey there, I’m benbarter.  Today was an extremely hard day at work. I work for a builder refurbishing houses to sell them on and to say the least it can be extremely tough work. Extremely hard work mentally and physically, as you need to know what you’re doing on a builder’s site. Today we had to lift 2 quarter ton steals into the roof with just 5 men. This is not a job which requires all muscle and no brains as you need to work out the most effective way of getting those heavy steals where they need to be. When working something like this out you have to take I to account all the factors which include everyone’s safety, damages that might happen and time. This is why I am stressing that you need to know what’s going on while working in the building trade. One of the lads who works with our building team part time studying art and design at university in hope of becoming a professional children’s book illustrator. He is a bright lad and works well on site but he does talk a lot about the job of a children’s book illustrator and I can’t help thinking about how different it is to the building trade. A children’s book illustrator will mainly be based in a office area working in a sketchbook or on a computer but in the building industry you can be working on a different job every week. There are completely different jobs to one another as building often involves a lot of heavy lifting a physical work were as illustration work you are sat down working at a desk.  click here to read more about illustrator uk
